pass through our servers.

Voiced uses a client-direct architecture. Your Mac talks directly to ASR and Polish providers; our server only verifies subscriptions. We do not proxy audio, store transcripts, or use China cloud services.

ASR and Polish providers are selected outside mainland-China cloud infrastructure and with no-training product policies.

Your device communicates directly with providers, so Voiced servers do not receive audio or transcript content.

A few answers first.

Will my voice be uploaded to China?
No. Voiced does not use China cloud services. Your Mac communicates directly with ASR and Polish providers, and Voiced servers do not proxy audio data.
Can I use it offline?
Not yet. Voiced currently uses cloud ASR and Polish because they are stronger for Chinese-English code-switching and Traditional Chinese output.
Does Voiced support iOS?
Voiced is launching on macOS first, with macOS 14 or later required. Windows is planned next; iOS is more constrained and will come later.
Does it sync with iCloud?
Data stays local by default. You can choose whether dictionaries and settings sync through iCloud Drive. History does not sync by default for privacy.
Does it understand Cantonese?
The current product is optimized for Mandarin, Traditional Chinese output, and Chinese-English code-switching. Cantonese may work, but it is not the main path yet.
